
Jill Kalfin
Owner/Artistic Director
After moving to New York City with her Broadway Stage Manager husband, Jill became a Creative Director at Steps on Broadway for seven years.
Jill has had many years of experience teaching young people. She owned a Performing Arts School for 15 years in Florida. Her studio and her students won many awards and several are dancing professionally. Jill choreographed for The Jupiter Theatre, Burt Reynolds Theatre, Crowne Cruise Line, and many industrials such as Cablevision and MTV.
A resident of Bucks County for four years now, since adopting her beautiful daughter, Alia, Jill brings her love of teaching and the joy of dance to her students at The Dance Junction.
Janet Mangiaracina
Ballet Director
The Dance Junction is thrilled to welcome Janet to our staff as Director of our newly added Ballet Program. Janet is an experienced instructor who has trained intensively in Classical Ballet, pedagogy, psychology, learning theory, and child development as part of a graduate credential program. She has broad experience directing other ballet programs, including a successful pre-professional school in California. She has particular expertise in the Vaganova method of ballet training. She is a former studio owner, has taught at private studios and public and private schools and therefore has a unique understanding of the way movement enhances a child's academic growth. Most importantly, she is committed to teaching dance in a way that respects each child and promotes joy.
Barrett
Barrett began her dance training at the young age of 3 studying dance, acrobatics,modeling and singing. She has received scholarships and attended Joffrey Ballet School, Alvin Ailey American Theatre, Broadway Dance Center, and Steps on Broadway. Barret has worked with many prestiges choreogrphers such as Laurie Kanyok, Mia Michaels, Suzie Taylor and many more.
While teaching, her students have won numerouse awards and dance titles. Barret herself has won many choreography award for American Dance Awards as well as many others. She is a former Petite Miss Dance, Jr. Miss Dance, and Miss Dance title holder for Dance Masters of America.
Kelly Garritano
Kelly has spent many years teaching children and has an Associate Degree in dance and extraordinary training in Creative Movement and Tap. We are very excited to welcome Kelly and her high energy class to The Dance Junction.
Susie Rush
Susie started her career as a performer in Musical Theatre and then continued as a lead vocalist in a band for 26 years, as well as appearing in dozens of commercials and films. She is a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. Having moved to New Hope 8 years ago, Susie realized a love of teaching voice and acting. She currently gives individual lessons. She is excited to bring this passion to The Dance Junction!
Colleen Burns
Colleen loves to dance, and has been performing and choreographing her entire life. She graduated from Providence College with a BA in Theatre Arts and Dance, and received the Providence College Dance Award upon graduation for leadership, choreography, performance, and academics. While in school, she participated in and choreographed a number of plays, musicals, and showcases. She also competed on an exclusive international Hip Hop dance team in the fall of 2009 at Royal Holloway University of London while living in England for the semester. Colleen began teaching Zumba Fitness in 2009. This high energy class is so much fun, it never feels like exercise! Colleen has also been teaching drama and dance classes (as well as choreographing and directing plays) to elementary school children since 2004.
Dominique Daniella
Local store owner and fashion designer began her love for dance at the early age of three. She continued dance through high school where she studied Modern, Ballet and Jazz at Somerset Vo-Tech School of the Arts in New Jersey. Dominique was also one of twelve out of the state selected to attend the Govenor's School of the Arts for Dance. She continues her love for Modern Dance at Princeton Ballet under the direction of Susan Tenney.
Colleen Miele
Colleen brings her 12 years of cheer experience (and a lifetime of bubbly enthusiasm) to The Dance Junction's Cheer Clinics for aspiring cheerleaders! She is proud to have served as the Assistant Coach for her daughter's cheer team and is excited for the opportunity to introduce even more young people to the fun of performing cheers, jumps and high energy pom routines!
